Biography / 略歴

Born in Gifu, now residing in Hokkaido, Japan. Studied product design during student years, later worked for about 10 years as a graphic designer at advertising and printing companies.
In 2017, I launched a material site class,design., where I plan and design all the contents. Currently, I work as the site manager and a freelance designer.
I specialize in template creation, logo design, and special printing techniques like foil stamping and letterpress.

岐阜県出身、北海道在住。学生時にプロダクトデザインを学び、広告制作会社・印刷会社等でグラフィックデザイナーとして約10年勤務。
2017年に自ら開設した素材サイト「class,design.」では全コンテンツの企画とデザインを行っており、現在は同Webサイト運営責任者・フリーランスデザイナーとして活動しています。
デザインの中でもテンプレート制作、ロゴ制作、箔押し加工や活版印刷などの特殊印刷を得意としています。

GENE GRAPHIC operates class,design. (gene-graphic.com), a website offering printable materials. Driven by the concept of “practical and stylish design”, class,design. plans, creates, and distributes content designed to enrich everyday life.

GENE GRAPHIC は、当サイト class,design.（クラスデザイン）を運営しています。class,design. はプリント素材サイトで、「実用的でおしゃれなデザイン」をコンセプトに、暮らしに役立つコンテンツを企画・制作・発信しています。

LACCIO PHOTOGRAPHY

東北海道の野生動物を中心に撮影する自然写真家、佐藤章様（LACCIO PHOTOGRAPHY）のブランドロゴです。自然というフィールド、四季という時間の中で、動物を探し撮影する様子からイメージしました。WebサイトやSNS、商品への利用を想定し様々なバリエーションを制作しました。

ロゴタイプ
あえて全体像を見せない文字で「木陰に棲む動物」をイメージ。特徴的な4本の柱は自然と四季を表しており、最後の1本は瞬く光で決定的瞬間を捉える様子を表現しました。

シンボルマーク
ロゴタイプの特徴をコンパクトに表現したデザイン。屋号の頭文字「L」と「i」でカメラの輪郭を表現しました。

ABLAZE

香港を拠点にグローバルに活動する格闘技チーム「ABLAZE」のロゴを制作しました。炎のアイコンを抽象化し、民族文様のような強く印象的なデザインに。炎の中の小さな円は魂（内なる闘志）を、取り囲む炎は Judo、JiuJitsuの「J」を表しています。

Kowloon Jiu jitsu / 九龍柔術

香港の柔術道場のロゴを制作しました。柔術というと男性的なイメージですが、九龍柔術様はカフェを併設するハイブリッドな道場で幅広い層に利用されています。道場のリューアルを機に既存ロゴをベースにブラッシュアップするご依頼でした。

漢字と英語が組み合わさるデザインはそれぞれの書体のマッチングが非常に大切です。単調にならず、新しさも感じるよう膨大な書体の中からベースとなるフォントを決めました。武道本来の力強さ、歴史の中で培われた威厳や格式を軸に、高級感や清潔感がありモダンな印象になるようデザインを調整しています。

SINO PAPER

香港を拠点にする古紙企業のロゴを制作しました。既存ロゴのモチーフである双葉や色のイメージを残しつつ「環境に関わる業種であること」「新しい価値を与える業種であること」さらに「企業としての信頼感・堅牢さ・清潔感」などを強調してブラッシュアップしました。新しい双葉のシンボルマークにはデザインに黄金比を使用。左右非対称とし少し動きをつけています。

TRENDRIVE / 株式会社トレンドライブ

健康食品や雑貨の輸出入を行う会社のロゴを制作しました。世界各国に輸出入を行う様子を、アイコン化した「D」の文字で表現したデザインです。右半分のネイビーのカーブは「地球や海・空」を、グレーの三角形は「運ぶ様子」を意味しています。太く力強い文字は企業の信頼感や堅牢さをアピールしました。

Yoh Corporation / Yohコーポレーション合同会社

不動産会社のロゴを制作しました。社名の「Yoh」をモチーフに、「Y」と「h」で建物と環境を、中心の「o」で人をそれぞれ表現し、3文字で「建物・環境・人の共栄」をイメージしました。先進性や清潔感、スタイリッシュさを重視したデザインです。

Patisserie Attacher – Business Card / パティスリーアタッシェ – 名刺

Contrasting the delicate sweets he creates, this pastry chef owner is the sturdy backbone of his shop. To reflect this, his business card was printed on robust, uncoated paper—a full 1mm thick! It’s a card that, much like the owner, doesn’t bend easily.

華やかなスイーツとは対象的に、ショップを縁の下で支えるパティスリーのオーナーシェフ。そんなオーナーの名刺は、その仕事を印刷物で表現するべく堅牢で無骨な紙を選びました。紙の厚さはなんと1mm。お店の大黒柱にふさわしい簡単には折れない名刺です。

Yoh Corporation – Business Card / Yohコーポレーション合同会社 – 名刺

This business card is crafted using a technique called “laminating paper”, where two sheets of paper are laminated together. Here, black and white paper create a striking contrast. The company name on the black side is subtly embossed in metallic black for a touch of cool sophistication.

紙と紙を貼り合わせる合紙という加工で作った名刺です。今回は白と黒の紙を貼り合わせ1枚にしました。黒面の社名はあえてメタリックブラックの箔押しを。さりげない主張がとてもクールです。

coconotsu – Business Card / ここのつ – 名刺

Letterpress printing on fine paper brings a warm, natural texture to this business card. The text, deeply impressed into the soft paper, evokes a sense of craftsmanship. The back features a blind letterpress illustration inspired by the company’s name, complementing the printed grey for a design that is both subtle and unique.

自然な風合いが特徴のファインペーパーに活版印刷をしました。柔らかな紙にぐっと押し込まれた文字は、紙本来のぬくもりがあります。屋号からイメージした裏面の図案には、グレーの他に無地の「空押し」が施されています。控えめな中に個性が光る一枚です。

TRENDRIVE – Business Card / 株式会社トレンドライブ – 名刺

Inspired by the triangular accent in the company logo, this business card symbolizes progress and moving forward. It features black and a special silver ink printed on grey paper. The silver ink, avoiding a gaudy look, adds a refined shine for a subtle yet memorable design.

社名ロゴのアクセントである三角形をモチーフに「皆が前に向かって進んでいく様子」を表現した名刺です。印刷は、グレーの紙にブラックと特色シルバーを施しました。特色シルバーはギラギラせず上品な輝きが特徴です。控えめな雰囲気でありながら印象に残るデザインに仕上がりました。

Mourning Postcard / 喪中はがき

This unique mourning postcard breaks away from tradition. Letterpress printed on a special card made by laminating fabric onto board paper, it’s designed to reflect the departed’s life story.

ボード紙に布を貼った特殊なカードに活版印刷を施しました。一般的な喪中はがきとは異なり故人の生涯を表現した特別な一枚です。

Wedding Paper Items / ウェディングペーパーアイテム

I designed the paper items for this wedding. The images showcase the invitation—letterpress printed on thick cotton card—and the reception coaster with foil stamping. I incorporated the couple’s initials into the illustrations for a vintage touch.

結婚式のペーパーアイテムを制作しました。画像は、厚手のコットンカードに活版印刷を施した招待状と、箔押し施した披露宴用コースター。お互いのイニシャルにイラスト入れてオールドテイストに仕上げました。

LACCIO PHOTOGRAPHY – Wall Calendar / 壁掛けカレンダー

This wall calendar, showcasing the majestic nature and wildlife of Hokkaido, features a calm and understated design that doesn’t overshadow the world captured in the photographs. The calendar prioritizes both style and practicality; the date display is enlarged for easy readability, and traditional Japanese six-day lunar calendar markings are included for convenient scheduling.

写真の持つ世界観、雰囲気を壊さぬよう静かで落ち着いたデザインを目指しました。見た目のスタイリッシュさを追求するだけでなく、年配の方でも見やすいよう日付は大きめにし、実用性を考えて六曜を入れてあります。北海道の雄大な自然と野生動物をダイナミックに感じられる壁掛けカレンダーです。

LACCIO PHOTOGRAPHY – Desk Calendar / 卓上カレンダー

In contrast to the wall calendar that features large photographs of nature and wildlife, this desk calendar emphasizes the cuteness of wild animals with a focus on “healing”. The font choice and layout were carefully considered to showcase their adorable yet untamed nature.

大自然と野生動物を大きな写真で表現した壁掛けカレンダーに対し、「癒やし」をテーマに野生生物のかわいらしさをクローズアップした卓上カレンダーです。「かわいいけれど爪や牙がある」そんな姿をイメージしてフォント選びやレイアウトを行いました。

Web and Banner Design / Webサイト制作・バナー制作

LACCIO PHOTOGRAPHY – Portfolio Website / ポートフォリオサイト

I designed the portfolio website for Akira Sato (LACCIO PHOTOGRAPHY), a nature photographer who captures primarily the wildlife of eastern Hokkaido. In line with the logo, which was renewed prior to the website creation, a green “/” (slash) was used as an accent on the top page. The slash, resembling a tree, and the animal photographs were combined to create an image of depth and transparency reminiscent of a forest.

This portfolio and works page incorporates a CMS function, enabling the artist himself to post photographs like a blog. The first view leverages responsive design to switch between landscape and portrait photos, effectively showcasing the dynamism of the photographs themselves.

東北海道の野生動物を中心に撮影する自然写真家、佐藤章様（LACCIO PHOTOGRAPHY）のポートフォリオサイトを制作しました。サイト制作に先駆けてリニューアルしたロゴに合わせ、グリーンの「/（スラッシュ）」をTOPページのアクセントに。木を模したスラッシュと動物写真で、森の中のような奥行きと透明感をイメージしました。

ポートフォリオと作品ページはCMS機能を導入。作者自身が写真作品をブログのように投稿できるようになっています。ファーストビューは、横構図と縦構図の写真をレスポンシブで切り替えることで、写真そのもののダイナミックさを活かしました。

Asahi Work Security – Corporate Website / アサヒワークセキュリティ株式会社 – コーポレートサイト

I designed the corporate website for Asahi Work Security Co., Ltd., a security company based in Asahikawa City, Hokkaido. Based on the importance placed on recruitment information during our meetings, the website features a simple structure that condenses the company’s information onto a single page while providing a slightly larger space for recruitment details.

北海道旭川市を拠点にする警備会社、アサヒワークセキュリティ株式会社様のコーポレートサイトを制作しました。ヒアリングの中で重視されていた採用情報をやや多めに掲載しつつ、1ページの中に会社内容を凝縮したシンプルな構成です。

Immediate Goals / 直近の目標

Template Expansion on Canva
Canvaでのテンプレート展開

GENEGRAPHIC will continue to incorporate new tools and apps to provide useful content for users.
In 2025, we plan to start publishing templates on Canva. We will create “templates that allow users to edit text, colors, photos, etc.” on Canva, a feature that has been highly requested by users. In addition, we plan to provide lectures on our website about Canva itself and how to use the templates we create.

今後も GENEGRAPHIC では、新しいツールやアプリなどを取り入れ、ユーザーの役に立つコンテンツを提供していきます。
2025年は、Canvaでのテンプレートを公開を開始する予定です。これまでユーザーから希望が多かった「文字、色、写真などが編集可能なテンプレート」をCanva上で制作します。その他にCanvaそのものや制作したテンプレートの使い方を、当サイト上でレクチャーする予定です。
